Hired A Locksmith Because My Keys Were Locked In My Car
I was grocery shopping last week and I was walking out to my car. I was searching for my keys in my purse, but I was having trouble finding them. It’s usually a mess and they get lost in there so I got to the car and started looking for them. I couldn’t find them anywhere. That’s when I looked inside the car and they were sitting on the console. I tried to open the doors but they were locked. I didn’t have any extra keys with me and my husband was at work so I knew I was going to have to call a locksmith to get them out for me.
It had been awhile since I had to call a locksmith and I wasn’t sure which one to call for this reason. Luckily, I had my phone with me and didn’t lock it in the car. I started searching on it for the number of a locksmith. I didn’t care which one it was, I just wanted to make sure they would get there quickly. I felt a little dumb standing in the parking lot with my shopping cart full of groceries.
The first one I called said it would be about 20 minutes. I didn’t want to wait this long so I called the others I had found. One of them said they could be there in 5 minutes so I told them where I was and which car it was. Much to my surprise they arrived in less than 5 minutes. The locksmith said he was close and was able to get there quickly.
He worked fast and got the doors unlocked for me. I could finally get my keys and start loading my groceries up in my car. He allowed me to write him a check for getting my car unlocked for me. I told him I would save his number in case this ever happened again, which I really hope it never does.
Later that day I told my husband what happened to me while I was at the grocery store. He asked me if I had the receipt from the work. I told him I did and he said for me to contact our insurance company because they may offer a reimbursement for hiring a locksmith. I was pretty happy when I learned they did.
